Do you find it so exhausting preparing your real estate postcard marketing materials? Let me share with you a useful advice on how to make your postcard mailing a lot simpler.
The most common problem we encounter when writing our real estate marketing copy is how to properly relay our thoughts to written words. Sometimes even if we already have an idea about the message we want to tell our potential customers, we still find it hard to translate them into proper order. It is therefore recommended that you begin the process by simply writing down your ideas. Afterwards, you can just arrange them in the right order.
You can simply start by writing your copy while keeping in mind the AIDA formula which stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action. Make sure that you capture the attention of your customers right away by stating your services in an attractive way. Inform them about customer benefits and provide all the answers you think your potential customers have in mind.
Additionally, be sure to put in some subheads. When you believe you’ve written your copy – and the reasons why your readers should actually become your customers, then print this piece of paper out.
Now take a pair of scissors and cut the document into “paragraph size” pieces. Make sure that each piece you cut contains one – and only one – paragraph on it. (This assumes that you’ve been writing in short bursts of paragraphs all along!)
Quickly read the entire document again. Group and re-arrange the paragraphs of your real estate direct mail to come up with a properly structured copy that has a strong introduction, informative body, and clear call to action.
Once again, read the entire draft of your real estate direct mail. Improve paragraph transitions when needed. You can also replace words in sentences to enhance its emotional appeal. Additional of powerful verbs can energize the copy. Well-placed exclamation marks can also be inserted to animate the copy.
So rework the copy until you are happy. You can even make another printout and start the whole process again. This method has been proven effective for copywriters to have that ‘flow experience’ while working on their real estate direct marketing materials.
The end result basically lies in your hands. You decide how many times you have to repeat the process until you come up with a flawless copy. Creating your postcard mailing will be over before you even know it.
What at one time appeared to be an overwhelming task and simply out of your grasp is now tamed and brought under control. Don’t you wish everything worked like that?
